I have concerns about the current plans to build in and around Shipston-on-Stour. This is mainly for two reasons; insufficient infrastructure and the location of the proposed sites.
Infrastructure concerns include over burdened sewerage system, lack of school and medical facilities, size of the roads, lack of job opportunities in the area and lack of regular public transport links.
Location concerns include building on flood zones, increased flood risk, water run off, access to green spaces, proximity to area of natural beauty, and composition of the soil for drainage.
Major development would change the character of the town
