The site is unsuitable for such large scale development due to significant transport constraints. The site is poorly located to the major road network.
Vehicles will need to use the B4632 and either travel through Stratford (already congested) or pass through local Cotswold villages using the local road network.
In its report WCC gave the site a red rating (multiple challenges) for transport and concluded that it should not be put forward as a new settlement site.
Traffic analysis indicates that the volume of vehicles through the villages will increase at least fivefold based on 6000 dwellings which is unacceptable.
