This discussion is intrinsically linked to my opposition to the development proposed at SG19. Unless sufficient infrastructure is created then all of the proposed new building will simply result in catastrophic increase in traffic density. That is on top of what is already ruinous to the town. As a Shipston Road resident of 25 years, I have seen the town almost disintegrate under the weight of traffic, heavy lorries, speeding vehicles and very poor maintenance of roads. The key issue however is of course the South Western Relief Road. This MUST be in place before any further housing is built.
