The proximity of two railway stations (Wilmcote/Bearley) to this proposed development, being used as a positive factor is totally misleading. The practical difficulties and cost of upgrading Wilmcote station to provide modern facilities and car parks would be enormous. The flood water here is problematic too- nowhere to divert the water run-off to.
Safety fencing would need to be erected along the entire railway line as it is open to walkers presently.
Another negative is Wilmcote has limited services to Birmignham and Leamington Spa- new residents from the development will drive. Hatton and Leamington have better served, mainline stations.
