Absolute lunacy. This week we saw how busy the surroudning roads already are, with the emergency closure of a stretch of nearby road. To propose to add thousands of newbuilds, each with at least one car for people to get to work, is nothing short of crazy. You have done nothing but propose to eat up vast swathes of the countryside, without any mention whatsoever of how those new estates will be serviced. There is no mention of road improvements, additional hospitals, fire stations, expanding the ambulance service. It's not just about building the homes; it's the services needed too.
