Have you ever been to Bearley or Wilmcote? These are tiny villages with characters and communities all of their own. To propose up to 6,700 new homes in the surrounding area is an invasion on these bijou villages. A more sympathetic approach to our towns and villages would be infinitely more sensible; a dispersed housing strategy would work towards meeting additional needs without destroying our rural communities and greenbelt land. Enormous housing estates will detract from the area, will overload our existing infrastructure, and create more pressure on the crumbling NHS. Build fewer homes on the edges of towns instead.
