The proposed development will irreversibly destroy a vast area of Green Belt Land, leading to a loss of biodiversity and completely altering the local rural landscape. This makes the site entirely inappropriate for development. The small rural villages of Hatton and Hatton Green will be completely engulfed, suffering from increased strain on local roads and services, particularly schools. While there are vague references to improving local amenities, there is a total lack of detail. Based on recent developments, any efforts will likely be superficial and tokenistic, merely to meet basic planning requirements.
