I can only agree if the homes provided reflect the needs of LOCAL residents and not simply providing affordable housing for those moving out of London and Home Counties. Our young people ought to be able to live in the area they grew up in.
Using rural locations and green belt negates the "affordable housing" aspect as there are increases in costs for transport to work, shops, medical facilities etc per household. Putting older people in these areas will also make them more isolated.
