strongly oppose the proposed housing development in Wilmcote due to its harmful impact on the village and surrounding areas. It would destroy Green Belt land, farmland, and wildlife habitats, threatening local biodiversity, including the recently returned otters. Increased housing would strain drainage systems, heightening flood risks. Narrow rural roads cannot handle more traffic, leading to congestion and pollution. Local services, including schools and GP surgeries, are already overstretched. Wilmcote’s historical and cultural significance would also be undermined. This development would permanently damage the village’s rural character and should be rejected.
