The recent effect of new builds on infrastructure provides enough evidence already of over-development.

Highway access to Shipston from East, West and South is practically single-lane. Developments are too far out of town for non-car residents, and parking is at a premium. As a result shoppers head for out-of-town stores and traders report no uplift in business as population has increased. HSBC and Lloyds Banks are exiting, leaving gaps in Shipston's unique square.

The effect of any of the proposed new developments on this SMALL MARKET TOWN will be to further STRANGLE the life out of it.
