You refer to coming demand. Demand for EVs depends on the availability of charge points. Install chargers before expecting people to buy EVs. Prioritise installing more 7kW chargers over expensive superfast ones.
The draft plan says on-street charging is the responsibility of WCC. Whenever it falls to them, SDC should ensure homeowners can easily install a small channel across the pavement for their charging cables. Simplify and reduce the cost of cross-pavement charging rules wherever SDC is involved.
