Existing built up area boundaries should be maintained unless significant development expansion is proposed. Boundaries are usually taken from existing features such as wildlife corridors and other heritage assets which must be
protected. Spatial Growth against conservation areas cannot be acceptable.
With a development policy for New Settlements, infill development becomes undesirable.
