South of Kingswood is a large swathe of open countryside that is owned by many landowners and would be difficult to aggregate to create a new settlement. The open countryside south of Kingswood is an ideal opportunity to encourage the landowners to utilise the land for biodiversity net gain that will be needed for the intensity of housing that can be better built elsewhere. The technical evidence supports the view that there is limited scope for employment within reasonable travelling time. Lapworth is a growth village and C1 would merge with it and result in creating a huge settlement.
