Shipston is already too large and the local schooling and medical amenities and infrastructure have become inadequate. Any further development will compound the problem. Site refs 148 and 747 are in flood zones 3 and 2 and the river Stour floods fairly frequently. Single track bridges at Barcheston and Honington and the one-way system in Shipston is currently struggling with the volume of traffic and are highly unsuitable for any increase in traffic. There are no job opportunities in Shipston.
