Shipston, like all ancient towns and villages, is built by a river. With climate change and increased rainfall, instant run-off from roof's and hard standing goes into the river Stour - increasing flooding risk for every settlement downstream. Sewerage plant already has problems. Crossing the Stour on the single track Honington, or Shipston bridge is not going to be easy for the increased traffic. As plans for growth increase, services decrease! - Lloyds Bank closing, tip closing, no hospital with beds, GP surgery already stretched, no more room for children at primary school, no sixth form at high school.
