Shipston is an already struggling town with INADEQUATE facilities which have been put under extreme pressure due to previous expansion. As a result, it struggles with flooding, a sewage system which is over capacited and heavy traffic through a narrow one way system. Health services are struggling, school places for families cannot be guaranteed and there are minimal job opportunities. Shipston is not in easy reach of major hubs and provides poor transport links with no train station and at best an infrequent bus service.
Further expansion would destroy the heart of this historic town and would be totally irresponsible!
