The area is mainly green belt land (and what has been withdrawn from green belt shouldn’t have been) and is good quality agricultural land that should be used for food production. It does not score well as a sustainable development option using council methodology and SG01 is much smaller than it seems given that a good proportion of it is in the University of Warwick site giving zero housing. A lack of infrastructure is identified by the Sustainability Assesment, our roads cannot cope with more population nor can our schools or health care facilities. The area has suffered enough development.
