Small sites near Burton Green and in the Coventry-Kenilworth gap. This region is a narrow piece of Green Belt separating the two conurbations, and is one of only two broad areas in Warwick district highlighted as strongly contributing to the green belt purposes in the latest Green Belt review. The latest NPPF, while weakening Green Belt protections, leaves the purpose B “to prevent neighbouring towns merging” as a key purpose of the Green Belt, which applies strongly in this location.
