Site 620 – Land off School Road
Road safety: Proposed site access off Henley Road/Pelham Lane junction is hazardous and a potential accident blackspot, made worse by blind-spots and concentration of household driveways so close to junction. Lack of pavements/pedestrian access also needs consideration.
Flood risks: site is located adjacent to a known area of flooding based on proximity to River Alne.
Ecological concerns: site runs along disused railway line, now a public right of way enjoyed by walking enthusiasts and a natural haven for local species of birds including nesting swans and buzzards and other wildlife.
