If Hockley Heath were to be converted to a new town then huge infrastructure investment would be required which would be much more efficient if all covered by one local authority.
Transferring the surrounding area from South Warwickshire to Solihull would mean the new houses would not contribute to South Warwickshire’s targets.
The road network is all ready congested and local lanes are not suitable for a major increase in traffic.
