New Settlements help avoid the issue of increasing large settlements and sprawl around historic town centres, Like Leamington Spa and Stratford Upon Avon and the infrastructure/bridges over rivers in these towns that were not built for the size of settlements these have become. The infrastructure is not built to handle the amount of traffic now seen in these historic towns as traffic moves from North to South or East to West
