The proposed development in Kenilworth is unsustainable due to the already inadequate infrastructure for the existing population and already allocated new housing estates. The site is in the eyeline of the castle, conflicting with the ambience of an English Heritage site. Green belt land should be protected and this development would reduce the gap between Kenilworth and nearby villages, undermining the green belt's purpose. The area has low housing capacity yield, and the loss of productive farmland and biodiversity is significant. Local amenities and infrastructure are overstretched, impacting the community's wellbeing and safety. Other sites are far more suitable.
