The proximity to the motorways M40/M42 support this location, along with the existing railway station at Wood End. Housing developments alongside motorway corridors are already established elsewhere nationally and because of the motorway the countryside here, whilst valuable, is less pristine and less ecologically important than other sites under consideration. The site would also be convenient to commute to Birmingham and Solihull for employment
