Without major development of basic societal needs in the area, schools, drainage , sewage, medical social services etc the proposed additional housing will irreparably harm the town and its identity. Additionally, the proposed housing development on greenfield farming land will mean there will be a gap between the new build and old town that will inevitably become built over and further risk old town flooding
