Lapworth rail station does not have regular services due to national timetable constraints. The canal bridge on Rising Lane is narrow and would not support the flow or weight of additional traffic. Bus services are irregular. The land is subject to regular surface water flooding. The land is habitat for migratory birds (Swallows and Swifts). The adjacent canal towpath is not accessible due to mud, poor surface condition, flooding, overgrown hedges and trees.
