Crynodeb o'r Gynrychiolaeth:
The presence of a railway line does not mean that the settlement is accessible. Timetables are set by National Rail and prioritise intercity connections over local connections. Rural stations are by implication therefore under-served and will continue to be under-served unless on the West Coast line where capacity will increase with HS2. Rural stations were created when the settlements surrounding them were much smaller - creep in piecemeal developments over the years has placed pressure on those stations for parking, inaccessibility and service levels which will not be reinstated to the detriment of national network service capacity.
