Wilmcote is a tourist attraction as Mary Arden’s House is in the village. To build houses on the approach to the village would create traffic chaos; as a result of recent large scale development in the area traffic through the village has already increased dramatically. At peak times the queue to join the Birmingham Road can currently be ten to fifteen cars long. The infrastructure in the village is not there to support more houses and traffic, with narrow roads and no pavement in places. The building programme should be spread out more evenly across the county.
