This location should be considered as a New Town 'planned community' and I hope a new SPD masterplan can be developed to take account of housing and amenities at Meon Vale, Quinton, Pebworth. The final draft SA should reflect these cumulative impacts and opportunities, bringing existing settlements together while protecting their characteristics. As a whole this intervention could deliver around half of the Local Plan 'to find' housing numbers to 2050. Being designated as New Town could bring government investment to unlock the train-line 'spur' so a new station terminus connects to Oxford/London; no need to go onto Stratford.
