1)With the ongoing house building adjacent to the A46, Kenilworth roads are already very congested and local amenities such as doctors and schools are overloaded. Building further houses in SG04 would seriously aggravate current problems.
New housing would be better provided by creating properly serviced new towns and villages rather than overloading the infrastructure and so reducing the quality of life in existing settlements.
2) The Green Belt land within SG04 in addition to visual landscape and food production benefits provides a barrier to the Southern expansion of Kenilworth and prevents the merging of Kenilworth and Leek Wootton.
