I recognise the need for housing growth in Hockley Heath but find the proposed plans excessive, as they will drastically increase the village's size and surround it completely. As a resident on Stratford Road, I experience heavy traffic, especially during M40/M42 closures, which disturbs my family's sleep. Adding 4,300 homes could lead to an influx of 8,000 cars, making the road unsuitable. The area also suffers from poor drainage and flooding, and lacks essential amenities like a doctors' surgery. Infrastructure improvements must be addressed before any housing development is considered.
