Building at Bearley will destroy fertile Green Belt land that will be lost forever as it becomes a sprawling suburb of Stratford, and in turn wrecks this historic market town. We need to protect the vulnerable wildlife and green meadows which are good for the local ecological system. The area regularly floods so is inappropriate for development: flooding in the local area will increase. Existing roads, already in poor condition, will be unable to cope with the extra daily traffic. Existing brownfield sites within the District’s towns/villages should be developed ahead of allowing devastation of our valued countryside.
