I object to the development of this Clopton Quarter parcel of land. This is greenbelt land offering a corridor for wildlife such as protected bats, badgers, barn owls, hedgehogs. It also separates the Heritage of the Grade 2 listed Clopton House from urban sprawl. There would be a detrimental loss of hedgerows and rural charm and scenic qualiy with the area highly visible from the local landscape. Areas of the site also lie in flood zones 2 and 3 which have had drainage and flooding issues eg Balmoral Grove. This greenbelt allows slow release of rainwater to the water table.
