We disagree with the approach in draft policy direction 2.

We believe that any new large scale housing developments should be located near existing large settlements if the housing is required at all. This would ensure that there is better access to services and proper infrastructure in place, unlike the approach highlighted where massive new developments would be built swallowing up tiny villages, reducing the countryside appeal of our district.

We also believe the HELAA methodology has been incorrectly applied in the assessment, with the criteria RAG rating not followed consistently.
