Poor use of critical green belt land in an unsustainable location which would rely on private over public transport. Would cut away at an already shrinking greenbelt between Leamington and Kenilworth, irreplaceably losing the identities of existing villages and disposing of high-quality agricultural land. The planning inspector has already rejected this site as a poor candidate and stated the adverse effects it would cause. The SWLP own analysis states that the housing need can be met without using green belt land, which has to be a key focus for South Warwickshire moving forward.
