Edge of town development places a strain on all existing infrastructure.
The road infrastructure would not cope with the increased traffic (in and out of the town of Stratford).
A new river crossing would be required.
Combined with a new settlement and Wellesbourne it would be too many dwellings and fundamentally change the rural setting of an historic town.
Specific to Alveston / Tiddington : The character of these historic villages would be destroyed. Productive allotments would be destroyed. A bridge between Alveston and Tiddington would be inappropriate and costly due to its position on the flood plain.
