The residential development proposed the other side of the road opposite Dugard Place would be on Best Most Versatile land and be contrary to food security objectives. It would also add significantly to the traffic on Wasperton Lane which is a single track road and incapable of coping with a large volume uplift of cars. There are no public transport options other than one bus service in the village so it is reasonable to expect most people to own cars.
