This proposal is against the object of new settlements. Anyone living in this new development would travel through Stratford town centre for school/work/ shopping/leisure. The Clopton Bridge and surrounding area is already gridlocked, and more traffic would lead to more congestion on the already vulnerable bridge. There had been proposals to build a new bridge but this area isa flood plain and thus any new bridge would require a massive and costly structure which would simply lead to gridlock further east, and would not connect to principal roads. Furthering Stratford schools/gp services/dentists are already at capacity.
