I am writing as a concerned resident of Lilac View with regards to the proposed development in our vicinity. This threatens our community and the surrounding ecosystem. Increased traffic will create chaos on our streets, risking safety and disrupting our quality of life. The construction will worsen existing flooding issues and pose a risk of contaminating our lake, which is vital for local wildlife and our recreation. Moreover, air quality will decline due to heightened pollution from construction and traffic, impacting vulnerable populations. I urge the council to reconsider this development to safeguard our community, environment, and natural resources against the profit-driven motives of construction companies.
