I do not agree with the proposed plan.
The new development would put lives at risk due to a considerable increase in traffic, especially during rush hours as drivers cut through rural villages to avoid main roads at busy times, which would also increase air and noise pollution. Local services such as GP surgeries, hospitals and schools are already struggling to cope with the present demand would be overwhelmed. The area already has problems with severe flooding which is likely to increase. The development would destroy the existing biodiversity, with a significant loss of wildlife, meadows, woodland and farmland.
