There are alternative SG sites in the local plan which in several configurations/combinations would permit the identified housing need of up to 5500 new dwellings, it would be absurd for the council to ignore such viable alternatives and instead permit any development that has a direct or indirect effect on the important extant strategic gap between Tiddington and Stratford Upon Avon. To do so would cause irreversible harm to the distinct character and rural setting of the village in its own right as well as the identity and historic setting of the nationally important and internationally renowned Stratford upon Avon.
