Further housing developments in a recently expanded village will place unsustainable pressure on local infrastructure, services, and the environment, threatening the village's rural character and quality of life. The site’s location within the Green Belt raises concerns, as it is protected to prevent urban sprawl and preserve the open countryside. The existing rural road network, already strained by narrow lanes and used as rat run, is not suited for additional traffic. Local services, including schools, GP, and water infrastructure, are at capacity, and further development would overwhelm these resources. Approving this project would set a dangerous precedent for urban sprawl.
