I believe there is a lack of common sense regarding housing development in Shipston-on-Stour. Key issues include the flood plain which may mean buyers cannot get insurance, ongoing sewage problems, lack of jobs, and absence of petrol stations and electrical points. The town only has small convenience stores, limited public transport, and insufficient emergency services. Schools and medical services are at capacity, and there is no hospital. The bridge cannot handle more traffic, and essential services like the bank and tip are at risk of closure. Significant improvements are needed before any more houses are built.
