The approach based on Option 4 of the previous consultation and the identification of strategic growth locations based upon that option is supported. This approach is undermined because many other sites put forward by developers are still under consideration. These other sites should be deleted with growth accommodated at the selected strategic growth sites, any potential new settlements and sites of under one hectare in area.
South Warwickshire has already accommodated considerable growth. If there is an opportunity to challenge the basis of the government’s new targets the District Councils should do so to revert to the locally calculated numbers.
