This is a wholly inappropriate area to build potentially 5,500 houses.
Choosing this location defeats the object of a New Settlement which can be built close to employment opportunities and provide suitable infrastructure such a roads, doctors, schools, community buildings etc. Adding onto the edge of Stratford would cause even more congestion and strain on local services and threaten the independence of Tiddington and Alveston as two entirely separate villages. It is not appropriate to build a relief road and river crossing between Tiddington and Alveston as it would require a large and expensive structure across the flood plain.
