It's green belt land and threatens the rural nature of the villages and surrounding area and is a good example of urban crawl. Along with this, the transport infrastructure is completely inadequate particularly, the idea that Hatton station can be used as a valid transport hub when it is already at capacity is ridiculous. There is also a threat of flooding being caused by inadequate draining along with destroying acres of farmland and trees that has a detrimental effect on the environment.
