SG15 and SG16 would more than double the size of Wellesbourne and threaten village status. Most people from Wellesbourne must drive to work and to access other facilities - the A429 is already extremely busy - sustainability? What about capacity of schools, health services, sewage etc. The proposed sites sit in open countryside, with implications for archaeological sites and the historical landscape around Charlecote. A range of wild species use the land north of Wellesbourne; bats, great-crested newt, grass snake, hedgehog, brown hare and a diversity of bird species including red-listed corn bunting. There are several Local Wildlife Sites nearby.
