The proposed new settlement at Hatton is disproportionate to the existing scale of development in this semi rural location. It will have a significant adverse impact on the quality of life of existing residents who will face 30+ years of disruption. The settlement would result in the joining up of the urban area of Warwick with Hatton contrary to green belt policy. There are sequentially preferable sites not located in the green belt that should come forward first before green belt land is released.
