Bearley Parish Council believes it would be completely wrong to proceed with the BW proposals as the overall and individual sites are totally unsuitable for development. The BW site is split by the fast and dangerous A3400. It floods regularly, risking flooding half of Bearley houses. It would damage a precious SSSI and protected wildlife, merge and destroy the villages of Bearley and Wilmcote. These would become Stratford’s northern suburb. Much evidence used to support BW is wrong e.g. missing rail line. Instead of destroying Green Belt land, the seven non-Green Belt sites should be developed, as in the NPPF.
