The proposed BW settlement is unsustainable and ill-conceived. The SWLP options by SDC and WDC desk top excercises and fails to recognise the realities of the situation in the villages affected. The transport infrastructure both road and rail will require significant upgrading costing millions. in addition the upgrading will not provide sustainable modes of transport as the rail network and stations cannot be easily upgraded to cope with a settlement as proposed. The RAG should be red.
The rural landscape surrounding the globally important historic market town of Stratford on Avon the home of Shakespeare’s heritage will be irrevocably destroyed.
