There is enough non-greenbelt land to meet housing needs, making development in SG06 unnecessary. SG06 has been undervalued in ARUP Green Belt Assessment it is high-quality agricultural land and holds significant greenbelt value. It does not fit the 20-minute neighbourhood concept, not being within walking distance of essential facilities. Other developments, like HS2 and around Coventry airport, already impact the greenbelt. Concentrating growth along the A46 creates a large linear development, undermining the remaining Green Belt. SG06 is rich in wildlife and public footpaths which are used and enjoyed by thousands of residents without any cost to the councils.
